Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage and oversee the financial aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, playing a crucial role in the project's financial success. Key Responsibilities - Manage project accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. - Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payment applications for construction projects. - Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular updates and forecasts to project managers. - Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. - Maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. - Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations for stakeholders. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry. - Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices. - Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Sage 300 considered a plus. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
