Role Join Hinge’s Trust & Safety group as a Senior Content Designer
to drive impactful work across some of Hinge’s most strategic and
sensitive product areas. We’re looking for a content designer who
thrives in complex, nuanced spaces and brings clarity, empathy, and
precision to every interaction. This role is for someone passionate
about using language to build trust, reduce harm, and empower
people to make meaningful connections with confidence, helping to
create a less lonely world. You’ll lead content design in this
space and partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering,
Policy, and Research teams to shape how safety is communicated and
experienced across Hinge. From prevention and education to
reporting and resolution, you’ll design and deliver product flows,
in-app messaging, and content frameworks that make experiences
clear, consistent, and accessible. In this role, you’ll help Hinge
set the standard for safe, human-centered dating experiences.
Responsibilities Lead content design for key Trust & Safety
initiatives from discovery through launch, delivering flows,
naming, education, and in-app messaging. Translate complex concepts
into approachable, trustworthy language and interaction patterns,
partnering with policy and legal teams to ensure language is clear,
inclusive, and compliant. Develop, maintain, and evolve content
frameworks, taxonomies, reusable patterns, and standards to enable
velocity without compromising quality or consistency across safety
touchpoints. Conduct content audits and test messaging to validate
comprehension, tone, and clarity across experiences. Work
side-by-side with Product, Design, Engineering, Policy, and
Research to align strategy and execution. Contribute to design
critiques, content reviews, and research synthesis to improve
content quality and user understanding. Communicate design intent
and content rationale clearly, connecting decisions to user needs
and product goals. Contribute to the evolution of Hinge’s voice and
tone frameworks for safety and integrity, balancing empathy,
clarity, and accountability in how we talk about safety, privacy,
and trust. Use a systems thinking approach to identify
opportunities to improve and scale consistent, transparent
communication across product surfaces. Model thoughtful,
user-centered content design grounded in clarity and purpose;
provide thoughtful feedback; and contribute to a collaborative,
curious, and high-craft design culture. What We're Looking For 5
years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related
fields. Experience designing for complex or sensitive product
spaces such as safety, privacy, or identity. Experience using
generative AI to drive ideation and developing user-facing LLM
content.Ability to structure and simplify ambiguous or evolving
problem areas. Expert writing and editing skills—able to make
complex ideas feel simple, empathetic, and human. Demonstrated
systems thinking: connecting language, frameworks, and design
systems to shape cohesive experiences. Knowledge of accessibility,
localization, and inclusive content design practices. Experience
using research and data to inform and iterate on content decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a calm,
solutions-oriented approach. Skills & Capabilities Content Craft:
Expert execution across the content design lifecycle—from UX
writing and information architecture to testing and iteration.
Brings precision, empathy, and clarity to every experience. Systems
Thinking: Designs scalable frameworks and content patterns that
create consistency and quality across multiple surfaces and product
areas. Complex Problem Solving: Navigates nuanced, high-trust
spaces with creativity and rigor. Balances empathy, clarity, and
compliance to craft responsible solutions that protect and empower
users. Cross-Functional Influence: Builds alignment and momentum
across teams through clear communication, sound judgment, and a

curiosity, and a steady focus on impact. Nice to Haves Experience
designing for Trust & Safety, privacy, identity, or moderation
contexts. Background in social, community, or dating products.
Familiarity with trauma-informed or behavioral design principles.
Experience designing for global audiences and diverse cultural
contexts. Passion for building products that help people feel safe,
respected, and connected. Factors such as scope and

offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New
York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment
(according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is
granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting. As
