Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: The Head Coach of Men's and
Women's Swimming & Diving/Director of Aquatics is a full-time
leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the
college's NCAA Division III swimming and diving programs, while
also managing the daily operations of the aquatics facility. This
dual-role position involves coaching, recruiting, and mentoring
student-athletes, as well as scheduling, staffing, and ensuring the
safety and maintenance of the pool. The successful candidate will
play a key role in fostering a competitive and inclusive team
environment, while also supporting campus and community engagement
through effective aquatics programming. This position reports
directly to the Director of Athletics and works collaboratively
with campus partners to enhance the overall student experience and
promote the health and wellness mission of the college. POSITION
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES: Coaching and Program
Oversight - Plan, organize, and administer all aspects of the men's
and women's swimming & diving programs in accordance with NCAA,
conference, and institutional policies - Develop and implement
training programs to enhance individual and team performance,
emphasizing academic and athletic success - Recruit and retain
qualified student-athletes who embody the values and standards of
the college - Monitor academic progress and provide support to
ensure student-athlete success both in and out of the pool - Manage
team travel, competition schedules, budgeting, and equipment needs
Aquatics Administration - Oversee daily operations of the aquatics
facility, including scheduling, maintenance coordination, and
safety compliance - Hire, train, and supervise lifeguards, swim
instructors, and student staff - Coordinate with campus departments
and external partners for facility rentals and usage - Maintain all
certifications and ensure compliance with health and safety
regulations Community Outreach and Engagement - Develop and lead
community-based swim programs, clinics, and youth camps. - Foster
partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and
swimming clubs to promote aquatics involvement and awareness -
Support campus wellness initiatives and increase student, faculty,
and staff engagement with the aquatics facility - Serve as an
ambassador for the college and its athletic programs at campus and

Management: Proven ability to lead teams and manage operations

interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to

with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities
effectively Requirements: Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's
degree - 1 - 2 years experience in collegiate athletics, sports
administration, or event management - Strong leadership and
interpersonal skills - Excellent organizational, attention to
detail, and time management skills - Effective communication
skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and
prioritize tasks effectively - Proficiency in using computers and
office software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, etc.) - Possession
of a valid Driver's License free of major violations Preferred
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in sports management,
recreation, business administration, or a related field - Knowledge
of water filtration and sanitation - CPR, First Aid, and
Lifeguarding (Red Cross) certificates - NYC Board of Health
Swimming Pool Operation Technology certificate - Equivalent

Classification/Salary Range: The Head Men's and Women's Swimming &
Diving Coach/Director of Aquatics is a UUP college year position.
The anticipated salary range for the position is $55,000 to $65,000
annually, with an outstanding benefits package. For more
