Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Milford, Connecticut. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Milford, CT. Job Function: /n - Day Shift. /n - 7am - 5pm. /n - Maintain a proper sterile field during surgical procedures. /n /n - Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operations, documenting according to policy. /n /n - Prepare patients for surgery as requested. /n /n - Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, and anesthesiologists as needed. /n /n - Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques. /n /n - /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. /n - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). /n - BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred. /n - 2 years of experience working as a certified Surgical Technologist in an OR setting. /n /n/nDisclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
