We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead
our Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic Transplant team in a
state-of-the-art surgical pavilion. This is a unique opportunity to

Nurse Manager, you will provide 24/7 leadership and accountability
for unit operations, staff performance, and patient outcomes.
You’ll oversee a team of 20–25 professionals, including nurses,
surgical techs, anesthesia techs, and perioperative assistants,
supported by two Assistant Nurse Managers. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations for the Cardiac Surgery/Thoracic
Transplant OR. Develop strategic goals aligned with organizational
mission and vision. Foster a patient- and family-centered healing
environment. Manage staffing, scheduling, and recruitment in
collaboration with HR. Oversee performance evaluations, promotions,
and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and
professional standards. Monitor and manage departmental budget and
performance metrics. Champion evidence-based practices and
continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education: BSN
required; Master’s degree preferred. Licensure: Active NY RN
license or eligibility for reciprocity. Experience: 6–8 years in
Cardiac Surgery/Thoracic Transplant nursing. 2–5 years in a
leadership or management role. Minimum 2 years of Operating Room
experience. Certifications: CNOR preferred; specialty
certifications as applicable. Prior experience in a non-union
hospital setting required. Skills Must-Have: Nurse Management
Cardiac Surgery Thoracic Transplant Work Environment Newly opened
Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion (2024) . 48-room OR within an 800 bed

Assistant Nurse Managers. Schedule 4-day work week (10-hour
shifts), flexible scheduling based on OR needs. On-call 24/7.

out of Manhasset, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this
