Job Description Job Description Patient Care Associate (PCA) – Med/Surg Location: New York, NY 10016 Duration: 14 Weeks (No Extension) Shift: Night Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 37.5 Hours/Week Pay Rate: $24 – $28 per hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join a Medical/Surgical unit on a 14-week night shift contract. This role involves providing direct patient care and clerical support under the supervision of a licensed nurse or healthcare professional. Responsibilities Monitor and record vital signs, height, weight, and specimen collection Perform venipuncture and/or fingerstick blood collection Conduct EKG/ECG testing and record cardiac tracings Perform vision, hearing, and basic urinalysis testing Assist with emergency first aid and basic life support Provide wound care including dressing changes and bandaging Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures Clean and sterilize instruments and examination rooms Maintain and update patient charts and documentation Communicate patient observations to clinical staff Coordinate appointments and enter patient data into hospital systems Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment Escort patients to various departments as needed Support patient education and promote safe health practices Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience Education: High School Diploma or GED Phlebotomy Training (Hands-on practical application required; online-only programs not accepted) EKG/ECG Training Program (Hands-on practical application required; online-only programs not accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS (Required) Phlebotomy & EKG/ECG Certification (Preferred) For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
