Available Shift: 2nd Shift : Monday - Friday : 3pm - 11:30pm : base pay range $23.00 $1 Shift Differential Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Pumping: Understand piping system to ensure lines are set properly and valves closed Monitor piping system to avoid cross contamination or spillage Stabilizing: Review, collect, monitor, and document required ingredients to maintain correct recipe specifications Combine specified ingredients into mixer and monitor closely to ensure quality standards are met Input required documentation of product specifications and quality into the system Conduct regular sample tests to confirm accurate recipe specification, measuring items such as viscosity, fineness, color, flavor and fat Accurately record test results and store product samples for traceability Additional: Report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the Supervisor Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Ensure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; report any non-conformities Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be needed Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cycle Pick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (maintaining clean work areas, etc.) Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for others Note: The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position Physical Requirements: Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach Occasionally ascend/descend stairs Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold) Skills and Work Experience Requirements: Able to follow clear instructions Able to read and write English to perform tasks successfully Skilled in applying mathematical reasoning to the measurements of ingredients for production purposes Basic technology skills to record data into computer or electronic tablet Continuous attention to details in performing all tasks Comfortable working as an individual contributor as well as with a team, as required Expected to identify, communicate/escalate and problem-solve as issues arise Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Blommer Chocolate Company provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
