Job Description:
Title: Senior Data Scientist (Woodbridge, NJ) Description: Duties: Develop studies that evaluate new business models for
customer retention and growth initiatives as well as estimate the future
value of customer segments. Produce complex predictive models which
enable the creation of rating plans and evaluation of risk. Evaluate
new statistical models leveraging rigorous analytical
frameworks. Communicate analysis, strategy and recommendations to diverse
audiences, including technical and non-technical. Collaborate with
executive leadership to address business issues, solutions, and
industry-related topics. Maintain external networks within the insurance industry
and academia to track emerging trends and approaches to business
issues. Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a
related field (foreign educational equivalent accepted) and two (2) years
of experience creating predictive models within the insurance
industry. Special Requirements: Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): performing
statistical analysis and creating generalized linear models (GLM models);
DE performing Survival and Time Series analysis; DE developing
and implementing multivariate predictive models to solve insurance
problems, including pricing, reserving or risk evaluation; and DE
