accelerate innovation. Role Overview: Join the Analytical Research
& Development (ARD) team within Veranova for a dynamic summer
internship. Our program consists of a 10–12-week internship at our
West Deptford, NJ location. The ARD Intern is responsible for the
implementation of laboratory improvements, which may include
reorganization of supplies to support a 5S or other organizational
system and general laboratory improvements. Areas of improvement
may include reference standards, metrology and/or general lab
support. Job duties may change rapidly to support the daily
operation of the laboratories, and the summer intern must be able
to adjust to rapidly changing priorities. Core Responsibilities:
Assist in the execution of laboratory experiments, including
analytical method development, validation, and GMP sample testing.
Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis
Spectrophotometer, and FTIR under supervision. Follow established
laboratory safety procedures and adhere to Good Laboratory
Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist in
the maintenance and inventory management of reagents, chemicals,
and consumables used in the lab. Support the maintenance and
continuous improvement of the 5S system in analytical laboratories,
ensuring an organized and efficient work environment. Assist in
routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Control
(QC), Chemical Development, and Quality Assurance (QA), to support
analytical activities. Maintain accurate and detailed records of
laboratory work, ensuring compliance with documentation and
regulatory requirements. Provide general assistance to chemist
(Cleaning of glassware, obtaining chemicals etc) Communicates
effectively in verbal and written form Provide weekly updates on
project progress Volunteers to assist with tasks not directly
related to a specific project. Participates in self-development
activities. To carry out any other duties which are within the
employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of
this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate
objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb,
balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision
abilities include near, distance, peripheral, color perception, and
the ability to adjust focus. Regularly works with moving mechanical
parts and may work with toxic or caustic chemicals. The work may be
performed in humid areas with low or high temperatures. This work
may need to work with respirator or operate with bunny suits. Work
may be required in areas where work potent and hazardous chemicals
are utilized. Qualifications: Working towards a BS in Chemistry,
Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field Minimum
Overall GPA of 2.7 required Demonstrated leadership skills with a
true career aspiration to be a leader Must be adaptable, strive for
excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of
adversity Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven
ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required Strong problem solving
and analytical skills essential Must be legally authorized to work
in the US Preferred Experience with 5S or other standardized
workplace organization methods. Prior experience working in a
laboratory setting. Understanding of laboratory safety procedures
and best practices. Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing
Practices (cGMP) and regulatory compliance in a pharmaceutical or
analytical lab environment. Pay Range : $20 - $22 per hour Our
